PECO Cross Country 2015/2016

On Tuesday night (10/11) I will have the Cross Country numbers available for all those persons who have registered for the PECO XC15/16 season. If you are not down on Tuesday, its not a problem as there is plenty of time until the first event at Temple Newsam on Sunday 22/11. Details of this race are now available on the PECO XC website – http://www.pecoxc.co.uk/pages/race1.html

Anyone who still wants to enter, will be treated as a non scoring KnaresborougH Guest, but will count in any races after that.

Thanks,

Eric

GUY FAWKES CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS

Eleven Striders tackled this tough 10 miler hosted by local rivals Nidd Valley (see separate report for more detail).

In the Ladies Championship, Pam Singleton took the win on our age grading system which elevated her from 13th to 7th in the Championship, Nicola was next and remains overall winner of the Championship and Sima cemented second place. Dawn was next and put a bit more space between herself and Andrea. Katie Gray and June Graham recorded there first points with June 6th and Katie 7th.

In the Mens Championship, Ian has won, however today’s results saw Conrad continue his excellent late season form and move from 7th to 3rd. Martin maintains 2nd place by two points from him. A battle ensues between James and Dan with just 2 points the difference. They are in 4th and 5th place respectively. Julian improved his points tally and remains in 6th.

The championships ends with the Leeds Abbey Dash on 15/11.

I am already preparing the 2016 Championship and comments about this seasons races and the championship format are welcome, critical or otherwise. In formulating next years event suggestions are most welcome about races that we might add /or take out, and on format.

Thanks,

Eric

Ladies Club Championshop (after 8 events)

After eight events Nicola is Club Champion for the second year running. In second place at the moment is Sima, friends Dawn and Andrea continue to battle for third and fourth. The biggest mover recently is Clare who has gone from fifteenth to fifth. There at two events left, Guy Fawkes 10 and Abbey Dash so chance to put some points on the board.

Mens Club Championship Update

MENS CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP AFTER 10 RACES

Ian Mitchell will be Champion, after him Martin is a good bet for 2nd at the moment and there is an excellent fight going on for 3rd with James, Dan and Andy seperated by only 4 points. However Conrad running into form poses a great threat to them and potentially Martin. Rob Clarke, who needs to run the last 2 races, is also a massive threat to those above him. Julian and David have slipped down a bit but retain top 10 positions. The standings will be published to Club notice board 20/10.

Ladies, a work in progress, available asap.
