Course description:
The start and finish are both located in the field in front of the house.
The course starts with an anti-clockwise lap which goes between two copses and then turns down the hill at a gate.
It continues to the bottom of the field and then loops round back past the start.
At a crossroads at the top of dog kennel hill (1 mile mark) you will take a sharp right and then a left then right into the woods.
A tight path will drop you out on the old golf course and you will run up the old fairway to a high point – here you will get a view right down into Leeds.
From here the course goes downhill across a number of old fairways before taking you through a small wooded section onto the aforementioned stream and ditch crossings.
Cut across the field and then you will run parallel to the access road until a corner where you will turn left and head uphill to the top of Pegasus wood.
From there it is a downhill wooded / technical section which weaves through the trees to join the access road at the bottom of dog kennel hill.
From here you head on the parkrun route gravel before taking a V shaped detour up a grassy track and back to the main track.
Continue along and then turn left at an open gate up a steep grassy hill all the way to top.
From here you will be directed right, back onto the main field to do a final “in lap” A small spur off this lap will get you to the finish.
The senior race course includes a short section of tarmac path, and therefore the course is not suitable for spikes.
