Its good to see a few more Ladies taking part in the CC. Nicola dominates proceedings with four straight wins carrying on from last season and is followed by the consistent Dawn and Sima who has three good results, can anybody catch them? Well done to Tracey who bagged a win early season. Plenty of races to come Ladies, give it a go!

The mens CC is in essence still wide open with 5 different men having taking 1st place in a race on the age graded system. Last years champion Ian is being challenged by new member Tom and there could be challenges from James and Andy if they steer clear of injury. Stalwart Martin will also be a strong contender, there could be others with a late surge - keep a close eye on Guy. Will we see a late,late charge from Conrad??

A late well done from me to all who competed at Nidd Valley - another good turn out.

The next event is this Tuesday, to be held by Swaledale runners. If you have registered and not run yet this could be a great starter run. Profile shows a long downhill run outwards with just a lump at the end to surmount.

Emma, our Thursday night Coach has committed to the 3rd Thursday of each month starting from this week (19th May).

Future dates will be June 16th, July 21st, August 8th and September 15th.

Road shoes will be most appropiate for the Tuesday night quality/structured session.

Good luck to all those taking part this Sunday in this Club Championship race, novices and seasoned athletes alike. Go Striders!

…..to the 21 Striders who ran the 1st Summer Road League event at Ilkley on Thursday (05/05). Everyone put loads of effort in, had to deal with THAT hill, and the grub was fabulous after.

Next event will be held by local rivals Nidd Valley on 24/5/16. All details on that now available at www.harrogate-league.org.uk.

Please note that this race starts at 19:30 (all other events in the series start at 19:45).

The Summer Road league committee has stated that headphones, phones and similar devices should not be used for the Summer Road league series.
